Elaine Sowers

Elaine R. Sowers, 67, of Reading, passed away May 1, 2011 at 9:45 pm in her residence of natural causes. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years Ira J. "Tony" Sowers. Born in Reading she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Evelyn (Kuser) Bagor. She was a 1961 graduate of Reading High School and was a secretary for Reading High School Guidance Department for 20 years, retiring in September of 2007. She was a member of Schwarzwald Lutheran Church. She was a loving mother to Daughters Michele L. wife of John F. Schultz of Atherton, CA, Kristy A. Alfiero of Sinking Spring and Amy L. wife of Chad A. Rahn of Douglassville and step son Wayne D. husband of Debbie Sowers of Midvale, Utah and a loving grandmother to Maximillian A., Emma E., Jordyn T., Nickolaus A., Caleb A. and Alynn L. Also surviving is her half sister Violet wife of Henry Stemba of Willow, PA.
