Edward Zimmer

Edward Peter Zimmer, 70, of Sinking Spring, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018 in his residence surround by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen (Burns) Zimmer. Born in Rochester, New York, he was the son of the late Robert P. Zimmer and Clementine E. (Haubner) Zimmer. Edward attended the University of Rochester receiving his Doctorate Degree. During his life he was a Toxicologist for Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, retiring in 2011. In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Mark (Michelle) Zimmer, of Sinking Spring; grandchildren, Austin Zimmer, Brandon Zimmer; brother, Stephen (Marianna) Zimmer, of Rochester, N.Y.; sister-in-law Kristine (Alec) Ollies, of Rochester N.Y. and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2610 St. Albans Drive, Reading, 19608 on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, 19608, on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 4:00pm-6:00pm.
