Edward W. "Mr. Ed" Reinhart, 94, of Reamstown, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 27, 2017 in Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center, Caernarvon Township. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Betty Jane (Shenk) Reinhart who passed away November 25, 2002. Ed was born on July 17, 1923. He was the son of the late William J. and Gertrude (Miller) Reinhart. He was a 1941 graduate of Reading High School and a member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ in Reading for 94 years. Ed served proudly in the United States Navy during World War II earning the rank of chief petty officer and was a diesel mechanic last working for E.J. Breneman. If you knew Mr. Ed you loved him. He was just that kind of man. He loved His Lord Jesus Christ, His family and his Church. He loved his wonderful neighbors, the wise men and ladies of Parkside Manor. Pop Pop adored his grandkids Michael K.; Jeffrey A.; Kerry S. and Glenn and his great grandkids Danielle; Stephen; Meghan; Joey; Madison; Emma; Paige and Beth. Pop Pop seldom missed any activities they were involved in. Mr. Ed, Pop Pop we will miss you but never forget you. See you soon. In addition, Ed is survived by his daughter Linda L. Motze, wife of Russell O. Motze of Pennside and was preceded in death by his daughter Nancy Barbis and his siblings Caroline Reinhart; Florence Frederick; Catherine Hains; Sarah Kauffman and John Reinhart.
Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held in Good Shepherd Cemetery, 160 Tuckerton Road, Laureldale Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 10:00 am. Reverend Walton R. Horn will officiate. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Mark's United Church of Christ 211 West Greenwich Street, Reding, PA 19601 in memory of Mr. Edward W. Reinhart.
