Edward Osenbach

Edward R. Osenbach, 86, of Wyomissing, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 in Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Dolores D. (Lonaberger) Osenbach. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Abraham and Irene (Trout) Osenbach. Mr. Osenbach was a member of Saint Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church and served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was employed by Dana Corporation for 43 years, including serving as Plant Manager and as Director of Manufacturing Services. He retired in 1997. Mr. Osenbach was a former vice president of the United Way (1978-1982), served on the Board of Directors of the Olivet Boys and Girls Club, and was a member of Berks County Chamber of Commerce. He was very involved in Junior Achievement and served as past member of the Board of Directors and chairman of the building committee. He also served as former chairman of the 16th Ward Republican League. In addition to his wife Dolores, Mr. Osenbach is survived by his daughter Susan O. Mann of Kensington, Maryland and his grandchildren Rachel and Daniel Berlage. He was preceded in death by his daughter Debra Pniewski (wife of Richard Pniewski of Collegeville, who passed away July 13, 2012) and his siblings Abraham and David Osenbach, Faye Vernace, and Jesse Ganter.
Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family in Charles Evans Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Olivet Boys and Girls Club, 677 Clinton Street, Reading, PA 19601 in memory of Mr. Edward R. Osenbach.
