Edna Kase

Edna R. Kase, 88, of Spring Twp., passed away September 28, 2009 at 5:45 PM in Reading Hospital & Medical Center where she was a patient since September 13th. She was the wife of William R. Kase for 62 years. Born in Jermyn, Lackawanna County on January 11, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Amelia (Bruczwalski) Radzikowski.

Edna was a 1942 graduate of Marywood College now Marywood University and was a member of St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

Mrs. Kase was employed as a first grade school teacher in the Reading School District for 27 years retiring in 1983.

Surviving in addition to her husband are 2 daughters Kathleen K. (Kase) wife of Michael Burk of Ebensburg, Margaret K.(Kase) wife of John R. Rennolds of Tappahannock, VA, 2 grandsons Samuel D. Rixey and his wife Megan Rixey and John W. Rixey and his wife Eleanor Rixey, and a sister Sister Mary St. Anthony of Marywood University, Scranton. She was predeceased by a sister Eleanor Radzikowski and a brother Anthony Radzikowski.
