Earl Richard (Dick) Weaver, 76, of Sinking Spring and formerly of Shillington, passed away July 25, 2010 at 4:44 AM in his residence. He was the husband of Shirley A. (Trayer) Weaver for 55 years. Born in Shillington on May 3, 1934, he was the son of the late Charles K. and Bessie M. (Behm) Weaver.
Mr. Weaver was a graduate of Steven's Trade School in Lancaster. He was employed as a plumber by Naugle & Sons Plumbing & Heating for around 5 years and later worked for Paul W. Essig Plumbing & Heating for 30 years retiring in 1998. He then worked part time as an electrical inspector for American Inspection Agency for 5 or 6 years.
Dick was an avid deep sea fisherman, a Philadelphia Eagles and Penn State football fan. He was a former coach for the Mites and Midgets Football teams in the 18th Ward for 17 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son Douglas R. Weaver husband of Cathy A. Weaver of Exeter Twp., 2 daughters Deborah M. (Weaver) wife of Joseph B. Ferrara of Sinking Spring and Denise L. (Weaver) wife of David A. Dull of Mohnton, 5 grandchildren Ryan and his wife Andrea, Adam, Joey, Jackie and Andy, 3 step grandchildren Dominic, Antonia and Danny and a sister Anna Ruth (Weaver) wife of Karl Koehler of Topton. He was predeceased by 2 brothers Charles C. Weaver and Harold A. Weaver.
