E. Reese

E. Thomas Reese, 73, of Cumru Twp., passed away September 4, 2010 at 8:23 PM in his residence. He is survived by his wife Joyce (Bockweg) Reese and his son Thomas R. Reese of Whitehall, PA.

Born in Chester on May 5, 1937, he was the son of the late Edward T. and Caroline M. (Breswitz) Reese. He is also survived by a sister Barbara M. (Reese) Foster widow of Jack Foster of Garnet Valley, PA and several nieces and nephews.

Tom was a 1955 graduate of Ridley Park High School and a 1960 graduate of Drexel University. He was employed as a systems analyst by CNA Insurance in Philadelphia and Reading from 1960 to 1976 and was later employed as a systems analyst by GPU/First Energy from 1981 until his retirement in 1994.

Tom was a home dialysis patient from 1971 until 1983 when he had a kidney transplant at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania. This kidney continued until his death. He was always mindful of this precious gift from an unknown donor.
