DR. ROBERT A. GRAY

Dr. Robert (Bob) A. Gray, 80, of Wyomissing, formerly of Reston, VA and Lebanon, PA passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Country Meadows, Wyomissing, PA.

He was the husband of the late Dianne E. Gray who died in July 2021.

Born in Aberdeen, Scotland on September 10, 1941, he was a son of the late Norman and Maryina (Cunningham) Gray.  He came to this country with his parents and older brother when he was 7 years old.  His hobbies included photography, cooking and gardening.

Dr. Gray received his bachelor’s degree from Lebanon Valley College and obtained his master’s degree and Ed.D. from the University of Virginia.  His career began in 1969 where he taught numerous media and computer courses.  The schools where he taught as an Associate Professor included George Mason University, Baylor University, East Texas State University, and Kutztown University where he was promoted to Full Professor, retiring in 2007 as a Professor of Instructional Technology.

He is survived by his daughter Tammy E. Gray, of Shillington and a brother Michael Gray (wife Cheryl) of Harrisburg.  He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a niece and nephew.  In addition to his parents and his wife of 57 years, he was preceded in death by a brother Dr. Norman C. Gray of Portland, Oregon.

Bob had been an active member of the West Lawn United Methodist Church, West Lawn, PA where he enjoyed singing in the choir.

A Memorial Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, PA on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends from

10:00 AM – 11:00 AM.
