Douglas Clark

Douglas H. Clark, 71, of Spring Township, passed away November 4, 2015 in the Reading Hospital.
He was the husband of Betty Jean (Mathias) Clark; together they celebrated 43 years of marriage.
Born in Elkhart, IN, he was the son of the late Hubert E. and Dorothy M. (Brundage) Clark.
A graduate of Exeter High School and Albright College, Doug was a US Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War, and a member of West Lawn UMC. He was the Controller at Rahns Specialty Metals for over 10 years and then the CFO at Clark Textile Company, retiring in 2014.
Doug was an avid golfer (with 3 holes-in-one), usually playing at the Manor Golf Club.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife Betty are sons Christopher H. Clark, husband of Amy, Cheyenne, WY; Matthew R. Clark, husband of Anne, Hockessin, DE; and five grandchildren: Josiah, Jonah, Noah, Elijah, and Cecilia. Other survivors include siblings David Clark, Los Angeles, CA; Diane Hatton, Lake Grove, NY; and Deborah Dennis, Charlotte, NC.
Services will be held in the Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Avenue, Sinking Spring, Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 11:00am, Rev. Dorris E. McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in Oley (Spangsville) Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00-11:00am.
