Dorothy L. Reed

Dorothy L. Reed, 94, formerly of Reading, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Keystone Villa at Fleetwood.  She was the wife of the late Howard L. Reed who passed away April 29, 2011.  Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Reed was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Margaret E. (McCallicher) Walborn.  She was a member of Maidencreek Church and was a Church Organist and Choir Director for several Churches in Berks County until her retirement.  Mrs. Reed is survived by her children Linda S. Reed wife of Edward Charles Glausman, Jr. of Reading; Neal S. Reed husband of Linette M. Reed of Sinking Spring; her granddaughters Alicia Reed Lynch, Stephanie Burkart, Morgan R. Reed, Tara L. Reed and her great grandchildren Parker S. Reed, Raelynn M. Reed, Grayson J. Burkart.  She was preceded in death by her sister Margaret C. Guistwite.  The family of Mrs. Reed would like to extend to the staff at Keystone Villa at Fleetwood their sincere gratitude for the care they provided their mother during her time there. 

Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home 1605 Rockland Street, Hampden Heights, Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 10:00 am.  Pastor Bruce Schoup will officiate.  Interment will follow at Laureldale Cemetery.  The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Thursday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.  Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
