Dorothy Rea

Dorothy E. Rea, 100, of Shillington, passed away on April 27, 2020 at Whitehall Manor.  Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late James W. and Florence I. (Crow) Rea.  Dorothy graduated Muhlenberg High School in 1937, as the top girl scholastically.  She worked as a Market Analyst for Vanity Fair Corporation for 45 years before retiring.  Dorothy loved taking walks with her brother Joseph.  She enjoyed reading, cooking and learning/teaching the Christian faith.  Serving as a volunteer at local nursing homes provided her with great satisfaction.  Family was the thing she cherished most, especially the three generations of nieces and nephews she had the privilege of knowing and loving.

Dorothy is survived by her nieces, Jean Ann Bickel, of Whitehall, Mary Elizabeth Rea, of Bensalem, and Susan Katz, of North Wales, PA.  Dorothy was preceded in death by her siblings, Nellie R. (Rea) Blankenbiller, Joseph W. Rea, Frank W. Rea, and Robert S. Rea.
