Dorothy Lempiner, 96, of Reading, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 1:45 am in Mifflin Center. She was the wife of the late Israel Lempiner who passed away October 24, 1995. Born in Leesport she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Esther R. (Golden) Board. She was a member of Congregation Shomrei Habrith Synagogue. Mrs. Lempiner was the Owner/Operator of The Former Charm Shop on North 6th Street in Reading for 5 years and also was the Manager of Special Occasions in the Berkshire Mall and was a member of the Friendship Circle at the Jewish Community Center in Wyomissing. She is survived by her daughter Elaine (Lempiner) Jones of Reading and her significant other, Joseph Farber of Philadelphia and her son Sidney Lempiner of Reading. She is also survived by her grandchildren Ashley (Jones) Renninger, wife of Jason Renninger and Aaron S. Jones, husband of Megan (Gansel) Jones and her great grandchildren Kacie A. Jones, Olivia R. Jones, Ethan I. Renninger, Cohen J. Renninger, Everly G. Jones and Elliott I. Jones. Mrs. Lempiner is also survived by her brother Philip Kommit of Toronto, Canada and her sister Goldie(Board) Heisler of Florida.
Graveside Service will be held in Shomrei Habrith Cemetery, Route 724 and Route 10, Cumru Township, Monday, June 29, 2015 at 10:30 am. Rabbi Mordechi Eskowitz will officiate.
