Dorothy Hafer

Dorothy M. Hafer, 94 of Sinking Spring, passed away November 2, 2010 at 5:07 am in Manor Care Sinking Spring where she had been a resident since September.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Daniel S. and Elizabeth (Hopkins) Martin, and the wife of the late William I. Smith, who passed away 1947, and George W. Hafer, Jr., who passed away in 1994.

Dorothy was a 1933 Graduate of Wilson High School. She was employed as the secretary to the Principal at Wilson High School. She was a member of Advent Lutheran Church in West Lawn.

She is survived by her children: Marilyn D. (Smith) Kirkpatrick widow of James E. Kirkpatrick of Whitfield, William M. Smith, husband of Georgene A. Smith of The Villages, FL and Elizabeth H. (Hafer) Crow of Sinking Spring. There are 8 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren.
