Dorothy I. "Dot" (Fisher) Bingaman, 97, formerly of Reading, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 6:15 p.m. at Berks Heim Nursing Center, where she had been a patient since May 22, 2008.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Milton Fisher and Irene (Hinnershitz) Fisher, and widow of the late Walter R. Bingaman, who passed away on February 24, 2001.
She worked as a seamstress for Rosedale Knitting Mills, and was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Reading.
She is survived by her two sisters: Sara (Fisher) Kurr of Reading, and Mary (Fisher) Kurtz of Elverson. There are also eleven nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was pre deceased by a son: Robert W. Bingaman, who passed away on October 20, 1997; four brothers: William, Charlie, Paul, and Alvin Fisher; and four sisters: Helen (Fisher) Nye, Ruth (Fisher) Stieff, Edit (Fisher) Held, and Frances (Fisher) Sellers.
