Dorothea Dorsey

Dorothea Dorsey, 74, of Reading passed away on Wednesday November 25, 2020 at her residence. She was born the second of seven children in Carthage NC, and was the daughter of the late Charles and Johnsie (Smith) Dowdy.

Ms. Dorsey is survived by her two sons; Darrell W. Dorsey of Lansdale and Kortney D. Cooper of Harleysville. She is also survived by four siblings; Ruth Sanders, Ophelia Dowdy, John Dowdy and Charles Dowdy as well as six grandchildren. Dorothea was preceded in death by son Wesley L. Dorsey.  Along with her mother and father, two siblings will welcome Dorothea home.

After graduating high school, Dorothea worked in the nursing field for many years. She loved flowers and dogs as well as spending time with her family. She also enjoyed cowboy movies and mysteries and enjoyed cooking
