Doris Schaeffer

Doris A. (Yoder) Schaeffer, 74, of Robesonia, passed away Friday, October 23, 2009 at the residence of her daughter Lori Ann in Media, PA.

Born in Hamburg, she was the daughter of the late Guy W. Yoder Sr. and Millie M. (Machemer) Yoder, and widow of the late Burton F. Schaeffer Sr., who passed away January 13, 1992.

She was a 1952 graduate of Hamburg High School. She worked as Resident Advisor for Prospectus Berco in Reading for more than 20 years. Her hobbies included crocheting, shopping, cooking, swimming, and playing bingo. Her most important love was her family.

She is survived by her daughters: Sharon DiGuardi of Robesonia, Lori Ann DiGuardi of Media, PA, and Michelle (DiGuardi) Kulaga of Sinking Spring; and a step-daughter: Phoebe Wenrich of Reading.

There are also three grandchildren: William, Carolynne, and Patrick.

She is also survived by her sisters: Helen (Yoder) Billman of Hamburg, Ruth (Yoder) Spatz of Pottstown; and a brother: Richard Yoder of Pottstown.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is pre deceased by brothers: William Yoder and Guy Yoder Jr.
