Doris Rhoads

Doris M. Rhoads, 81, of Penn Township, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016 in her home. She was a loving and dedicated wife to Gerald R. Rhoads. Born in Reading, Mrs. Rhoads was the daughter of the late Leonard P. and Bertha M. (Frees) Kulp. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale. Mrs. Rhoads was a loving mother to Rick A. Rhoads, husband of Patty L. (Palladino) Rhoads of Wyomissing and Steve S. Rhoads, husband of Jody L. (Caplinger) Rhoads of Mohrsville. She was also a loving grandmother who adored her granddaughters Amanda and Lindsey Rhoads. Mrs. Rhoads was preceded in death by her sister Carol Bauder and is survived by her nieces Lori Calpino, wife of Scott Calpino and Cheryl Maull, wife of Bob Maull along with her grand nephew Ben Maull.
Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 10:00 am. Reverend Thomas F. Irwin, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow in Sinking Spring Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Monday, September 19, 2016 from 6:30-8:30 pm and Tuesday from 9:30-10:00 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 1009 Elizabeth Ave. Laureldale, PA 19605 in memory of Mrs. Doris M. Rhoads.
