Doris Reeves

Doris E. Reeves, 87, formerly of Shillington, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 1:40 pm at Berkshire Center.  She was preceded in death by her first husband Carl Blessing in 1975 and by her second husband Paul Reeves in 2000.  Born in Reading, Mrs. Reeves was the daughter of the late Howard and Matilda M. (Moyer) Young.  She was a 1953 graduate of Reading High School and was employed by the Oley School District for 6 years as an aide.  Mrs. Reeves loved her family and loved all children in general.  She loved horses, enjoyed square dancing and music.  Mrs. Reeves is survived by her son Kirk E. Blessing, husband of Susan J. Blessing of Exeter Township and her daughter Sherry E. Hertzog of Hamburg and her 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home 1605 Rockland Street, Hampden Heights, Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 11:00 am.  Amy S. Landis, Certified Celebrant will officiate.  Interment will follow at Laureldale Cemetery.  The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Tuesday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.  Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
