Doris Hartranft

Doris S. "Aunt Doris" Hartranft, 92 of The Highlands at Wyomissing, formerly of Sinking Spring, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 11:50 am in Reading Hospital. She was preceded in death by her first husband Charles Allen Blatt March 14, 1981 and by her second husband George E. Hartranft, March 18, 2005. Born in Mohnton, Mrs. Hartranft was the daughter of the late Luke P. Schnable and Bessie M. (Vogel) Schnable. She was a life member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Shillington and was a graduate of Shillington High School. Mrs. Hartranft was a personnel secretary at George W. Bollman & Co. Inc. in Adamstown for 43 years retiring in 1986. She is survived by her nephews Robert A. Blankenbiller, companion of Pat Peterson of DeLand, Florida and Bruce S. Blankenbiller, husband of Barbara A. Blankenbiller of Birdsboro and her great nephews Mathew Blankenbiller of Lakeland, Florida; Andy Blankenbiller, husband of Lori A. Blankenbiller of Sinking Spring and Bradley Blankenbiller of Birdsboro. She is also survived by her great great nieces Olivia and Robyn Blankenbiller and her great great nephew Chadd Blankenbiller. She was preceded in death by her brother Paul A. Blankenbiller and her great nephew Jeffrey E. Blankenbiller.
Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring Monday, October 16, 2017 at 10:00 am. Reverend Carl W. Filer will officiate. Interment will follow in Wyomissing Cemetery, Gouglersville. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home Monday 9:00-10:00 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund 30 Liberty Street, Shillington, PA 19607 in memory of Mrs. Doris S. Hartranft.
