Doris Gerhart

Doris V. "Ginny" Gerhart, 86, of Bern Township, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016 at 6:45 pm in Reading Hospital. She was the wife of the late Stanley E. Gerhart who passed away April 20, 1998. Born in Ruscombmanor Township, Mrs. Gerhart was the daughter of the late Irvin and Florence (Seidel) Yoder. She was a member of Bern United Church of Christ and was co owner with her husband of Stan's Inn in Wernersville for 10 years. She was also a cashier at Berks Career & Technology Center in Bern Township for 7 years. Mrs. Gerhart is survived by her son Randy S. Gerhart, husband of Anne M. Gerhart of Leesport and her daughter Brenda L. Owens, wife of David R. Owens of Reading along with her 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 4 siblings.
Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 9:30 am. Interment will follow in Laureldale Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday 8:30-9:30 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Animal Rescue League of Berks County PO Box 69, Mohnton, PA 19540 or Humane Society of Berks County, 1801 North 11th Street, Reading, PA 19604 in memory of Mrs. Doris V.
