Donna J. Loy

Donna J. Loy, 69, of West Lawn, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023 at 10:00 pm at Garden Spring Nursing Facility, Willow Grove, Montgomery County.  Born in Olean, New York, Ms. Loy was the daughter of the late Carl H. and Elizabeth M. (Rodgers) Hess.  She was a member of Saint Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church and was employed by Penn State Health-St. Joseph Hospital as Human Resource Director of Recruitment until her retirement.  Ms. Loy is survived by her daughter Jessica C. Yurick of West Lawn and her brothers Paul J. Hess of Sykesville, Maryland and Carl E. Hess of State College.  She was preceded in death by her son Jason D. Loy in 2004. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church 2600 St. Alban’s Drive, Sinking Spring, Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 11:00 am.  Reverend Thomas P. Bortz, Celebrant.  Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport, PA.  The family will receive relatives and friends at Saint Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church from 9:45 am to 10:45 am.    In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation 4550 Montgomery Ave. Suite 1100N, Bethesda, MD 20814; Parkison’s Foundation 200 SE 1^st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131 or American Diabetes Association PO Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023 in memory of Ms. Donna J.
