Donna Gerhart

Donna M. Gerhart, 67, of Exeter Township, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 9:05 am in The Henry Healthcare Center at Topton Lutheran Home. She was the wife of the late Gary L. Gerhart. Born in Reading, Mrs. Gerhart was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Spickler) Witman. She was a 1966 graduate of Reading High School and graduated in 1970 from Kutztown Teachers College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education. Mrs. Gerhart was a member of Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church in Exeter Township and was a Special Education Teacher in the Muhlenberg and Exeter School Districts for 34 years retiring in 2004. She is survived by her sister Diane Gilmore of Exeter Township; nephew Trevor Gilmore of Exeter Township; her uncle Ronald Spickler of Wyomissing; mother in law Pearl Greath of Sinking Spring and her parrot Cece.
Funeral Procession will depart Bean Funeral Home, 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township, Friday, July 22, 2016 at 10:15 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church Chapel 2427 Perkiomen Ave. Mount Penn at 11:00 am. Reverend Brian M. Miller, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Charles Evans Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home, Thursday, July 21, 2016 , 6-8:00 pm and Friday 9:45-10:15 am.
