Donald R. Sanner

Donald R. Sanner, 87, of Spring Township, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024 at 10:50 pm at Reading Hospital.  He was the husband of the late Carole R. (Smith) Sanner who passed away December 15, 2014.  Born in Ashland, Schuylkill County, Mr. Sanner was the son of the late Elmer Samuel Sanner and Hilda (Lewis) Sanner.  He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a security officer at CarTech for 16 years retiring in 1998.  Mr. Sanner was a volunteer fire fighter for West Wyomissing Fire Company.  He is survived by his grandchildren Jennifer Ceja wife of Gabriel Bogart, Michael Sanner husband of Trisha Sanner, Jonathan Gumpper and his great grandchildren Jayden, Remmington and Iris.  Mr. Sanner was preceded in death his son Donald R. Sanner, Jr. February 5, 2015 and his daughter Mary Leah Sanner in 2009.

Memorial Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 10:00 am.  The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.   Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.  Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
