Donald Ravel

Donald B. Ravel, 72, of Exeter Twp., passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at 2:50 a.m. at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where he had been a patient since June 2nd.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Vincent G. Ravel and Evelyn E. (Wrentzel) Ravel, and the husband of Yvonne B. (Evans) Ravel at home.

He was a 1954 graduate of Reading High School, and was a member of US Air National Guard from 1954 to 1962.

He worked as a Test Lab Technician and Supervisor for Polymer Corporation in Reading for 31 years, and later worked as a Test Lab Technician for Arrow International in Reading for 16 years, retiring in 2002.

He was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church, and was involved in various Church committees and programs.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons: Kenneth B., husband of Barbara Ravel of Sinking Spring; David B., husband of Nancy Ravel of Blandon, and Jeffrey D., husband of Holly Ravel of Exeter Twp.

There are also six grandchildren: Jonathon, Timothy, Andrew, Joshua, Trevor, and Luke.
