Donald Quinter

Donald D. Quinter, 81, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 12:30 am in Penn State Health-St. Joseph Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Schmeck) Quinter. Born in Reading, Mr. Quinter was the son of the late Glenn and Erma (Thirey) Quinter. He was a 1954 graduate of Muhlenberg High School and served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Quinter was the owner of Don Quinter Contracting for over 45 years. In addition to his wife Barbara he is survived by his children Dalynn A. Boyer, wife of Scott G. Boyer of Temple; Nancy A. Campbell, wife of Bernie T. Campbell of Sinking Spring; Troy Quinter, husband of Dawn Quinter of Muhlenberg Township; Timothy Quinter, husband of Mary Quinter of Muhlenberg Township and Thomas Quinter, husband of Christine Quinter of Muhlenberg Township and his grandchildren Rebecca; Rachael; Samantha; Hannah; Max; Erika; Leland; Kane; Eli; Geoffrey and his 3 great grandsons. Mr. Quinter was preceded in death by his brother Barry Quinter.
Celebration of Life Service will be held in Rosedale United Church of Christ, 1301 East Bellevue Ave. Laureldale, Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11:00 am. Reverend Selina C. Hamilton and Reverend Tracey Weiss will officiate. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. The family will receive relatives and friends in Rosedale United Church of Christ Saturday 10:00-11:00 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004 in memory of Mr. Donald D. Quinter.
