Donald G. Morris, 86, of Spring Township, passed away Thursday January 28, 2021 in Manor Care Health Services, Sinking Spring. He was the husband of Verna K. (Chastain) Morris. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Mr. Morris was the son of the late George Paul Morris and Alma (Dietrich) Morris. He served in the United States Army and worked as a meat director for several wholesale meat companies on the East Coast as well as a realtor for Coldwell Banker. Mr. Morris was a volunteer and paid employee for Western Berks Ambulance as well as a scuba diving instructor at Scuba Venture. Don, a.k.a Pop Pop, truly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and never said no to a game. He rarely sat still but if he did his adoring kitties found comfort on his lap. “To know him is to love him,” couldn’t be more true for this kind hearted man. He was always the first to jump into action to help anyone. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Nicole K. Meckley, wife of Chad M. Meckley of Sinking Spring; Clayton B. Morris, husband of Natali Morris of Portugal; Tim Morris, husband of Wendy Morris of Texas; Debbie Martin of Connecticut and his 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughters Dawn Martin and Diane.
