Donald Birmingham King, II, 61, of Wyomissing, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 12:45AM in his residence. He is survived by his wife of 32 years Donna Gray-King. Born in Harrisburg, Don was the son of the late William L. King, II and Joyce (Calistri) King. He was a graduate of Lycoming College and a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. Don was employed as a Probation Officer for Berks County for over 30 years. He loved spending time at his family's 200-acre farm and enjoyed driving around on the golf carts with his wife, sons and in-laws. Don was a cigar aficionado and was a walking encyclopedia of music from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Don was kind, generous and hysterically funny who had his family and friends roaring with laughter with his Pennsylvania Dutch accent. He participated in Act 1 Productions playing "Scar" at the Strasburg Great Train Robberies and "Romeo" in the Goobers Murder Mystery. In addition to his wife Donna, Don is survived by his sons Michael Birmingham King of Philadelphia and Sean Robert King of Wyomissing. He is also survived by his siblings William L. King, III, husband of Kellene H. King of Shillington and Mari King Luckenbill, wife of Roger Luckenbill of Mount Penn and was preceded in death by his sister Melissa King. Also surviving are his beloved nieces and nephews: Aaron King, Hoi Yee King, Lari Zinberg, Geoff Zinberg, Mark Luckenbill, Madeleine King, Harper King, Corey Gray, Brooke Gray, Seth Gray, Spenser Gray, Zachary Gray, Trevor Gray, Jacob Gray, Lili Gray and Noah Gray.
The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Wednesday 2:00PM-4:00PM with services beginning at 4:00PM. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lebanon Valley Sportsmen Club at 841 Sportsmen Road, Robesonia, PA 19551 in support of gun safety and education.
