Donald Gehret

Donald G. Gehret, 82, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away June 4, 2016 in Manor Care, Spring Township.
He was the husband of Nancy E. (Kraatz) Gehret; together they celebrated 54 years of marriage.
Born in Bern Township, he was the son of the late George Gehret, Jr., step mother Lillian Gehret and his mother Mabel (Long) Gehret.
Mr. Gehret was a US Army veteran, a member of Alsace Lutheran Church and Glenside Hunting Camp in Centre County. He was employed at Berkshire Greens, Inc. as a cement finisher for 47 years.
Donald was an avid golfer, hunter, and enjoyed watching stock car racing.
Surviving in addition to his wife Nancy are his sons Gregg D. Gehret, husband of Karen, Reading; Scott A. Gehret, husband of Ashleigh, Leesport and five grandchildren Erin, Aiden, Noah, Alexander and Adysson.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Donald's memory to The American Heart Association: 212 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018.
Services will be held in Bean Funeral Homes, North 16th & Rockland Sts, Hampden Heights, Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Alsace Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday 6:00-8:00pm and Wednesday 10:00-11:00am.
