Dolores M. Orth, 77, of Exeter Twp., passed away Monday, March 30, 2009 at 9:33 p.m. at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where she had been a patient since Sunday.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Walter Dorman and Stella (Frey) Dorman, and widow of the late Clarence E. Orth Jr., who passed away May 18, 2006. The couple shared 56 wonderful years of marriage, as they were married on November 24, 1949.
She was a 1949 Graduate of Shillington High School, and a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Mt. Penn.
She worked as a shift manager for Arby's in Exeter Twp. for the last 25 years, last working this past Saturday.
She was a member of the Simian Society which involves the rescue of Monkeys. She was also active in the food pantry at Incarnation Lutheran Church, and volunteered with Family Promise through Schwarzwald Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her loving family: Sons: Steven M. of Mohnton and Daryl A. of Birdsboro; daughter: Karen (Orth), wife of Timothy Montag of Exeter Twp.; grandchildren: Matthew, Kristen, Christopher, and Brett; and great grandchildren: Madison and Mason.
