Diane Kerns

Diane M. Kerns, 75, of Kenhorst, passed away with her husband by her side,  Monday, January 9, 2023 at 1:30 pm at Wyomissing Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.  She was the wife of Jay Robert Kerns.  Born in Reading, Mrs. Kerns was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Mildred (Umbenhower) Biardeau.   She was a graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School and Bryland Institute of Beauty Culture.  Mrs. Kerns was the owner of Diane Kerns Beauty Salon for 35 years. In addition to her husband Mrs. Kerns is survived by her son Michael “Chris” Christian Kerns, husband of Lisa Kerns of Brooksville, Florida; her 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  Mrs. Kerns is also survived by her dear friend Pamela S. Reese, wife of Ward Reese of Robesonia.

Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington, Friday, January 13, 2023 at 1:00 pm.  Pastor Scott Cooper will officiate.  Interment will follow at Laureldale Cemetery.  The family will receive relatives and friends Friday from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Hope Rescue Mission 645 North 6th Street, Reading, PA 19601 in memory of Mrs. Diane M. Kerns.
