Diana Butterweck

Diana B. Butterweck, of Muhlenberg Township passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday June 30, 2018. Dian was the loving wife of Barry L. Butterweck. Born in Reading, she was the beloved daughter of Bruce Fies and the late Jane (Rentschler) Fies. During her life she was a proud elementary school teacher in the Schuylkill Valley School District for 30 years. In addition to her father and husband she is survived by her daughters, Bobbi Butterweck, wife of Brad Wentzel, of Laureldale; Marci Harr, wife of David Harr, of Muhlenberg Township: grandchildren, Bode Wentzel, Brady Wentzel, Tanner Harr, and Owen Harr. Dian is also survived by her siblings, Robin Fies, wife of Marshall "Mac" Deweese; Scott Fies, husband of Susan Fies; nieces, Lauren Deweese, Allison (Fies) Clark, and nephew Shawn Deweese.

Funeral Services will be held at Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring 19608 on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00am -11:00am. Dian had a soft spot for animals and opened her home and her heart to many beloved pets during her lifetime. As an educator, and as a doting parent and grandparent, Dian shared her joy of reading with her students and family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to honor her love of animals and reading, to The Animal Rescue League of Berks County or The United Way of Berks County (with "Ready. Set.
