Dennis Sweigert

Dennis G. Sweigert, 82, of Reading, passed away on Sunday January 21, 2018 at the Reading Hospital. Born in Reading, he was the son of Albert P. Turner and Olivia E. Turner (Meck). During his life he was employed as a cook for Berks Packing Incorporated for 20 plus years. Dennis also served proudly in the United States Army during the Korean Era. He was a devoted caregiver to his mother in her late years and continued to volunteer his time with Berks Visiting Nurse's Hospice Program. He was also active in ham radio. He is survived by his son Scott Sweigert of Las Vegas and his good friend David Berry of Shillington.
Memorial Service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church 1301 Luzerne Street Reading, 19601 on Saturday February 3, 2018 at 11:00am. Reverend Katie Lyon will be officiating. Interment will be at convenience of the family. Online condolences may be made to www.beanfuneralhomes.com
