Dennis Hemmig

Dennis J. Hemmig, 57, of Ontelaunee Township, passed away December 29, 2015 in his residence surrounded by his loving family after battling idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
He was the husband of Diana M. (McDonald) Hemmig; they celebrated 17 years of marriage.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Lester L. and Lorraine L. (Knabb) Hemmig.
Dennis was employed as Store Manager at Marino's Food Market and later as a Supervisor/Master chocolatier at a local candy factory.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children Karli R. Beetle, wife of Jacob, Seneca, NY; Kristle F. Hemmig, Reading; Carl W. Moyer, husband of Elizabeth, Leesport; Amanda M. Miley, wife of Paul, Fleetwood and seven grandchildren. Other survivors include siblings Irvin C. Hemmig, husband of Cheryl, Kenhorst; Christine A. Dillon, Kenhorst; Marsha L. Spadt, wife of Roger, Walnutport and his special companion Bella. He was preceded in death by sister Deborah Hettinger and his dog Bubba.
Services will be held in Bean Funeral Homes, 3825 Penn Avenue, Sinking Spring, Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 10:30am, Rev. Robin L. Henry officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends 8:30am- 10:30am.
