Delos Z. Stoudt, 85, of East Cocalico Twp. and formerly of Birdsboro went to be with Jesus surrounded by loved ones on November 26, 2009 at 3:15 PM in Ephrata Hospital where he was a patient for 2 1/2 weeks. He was the husband of Virginia I. (Imhoff) Stoudt. Born in Sinking Spring he was the son of the late George B. and Laura L. (Kohl) Stoudt. He was employed for 35 years as a tireworker for Firestone Tire and Rubber in Pottstown and later worked as a dyeworker by Occidental Chemical in Pottstown until his retirement in 1984.
He was a member of St. John's Reformed Church in Sinking Spring. Mr. Stoudt enjoyed the outdoors and loved hunting and his hunting dogs. Mr. Stoudt was an Army veteran of WW2.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a step daughter Sandra L. (Bair) wife of Joseph H. Stewart Jr. of Akron, 5 step grandchildren Ricky Stewart, Nicole Piper, Troy Stewart, Denise Zimmerman and Deb Kepiro and 10 step great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a step daughter Barbara Ann (Bair) Rickenbach and a sister Shirley L. (Stoudt) Fisher.
