David Boyer

David D. Boyer, 88, of Shillington, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at the Reading Hospital. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Carlton F. and Mabel (Fritz) Boyer. David was a graduate of Shillington High School and went on to attend the Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute.

He served in the United States Army through 1956-1958. During his life, he was a Tool Engineer for Rockwell International in Wyomissing for 42 years and retired on October 27, 1993. David was very involved in the Cedardale Fishing Assoc. and Clover Park Athlete Association.

He is survived by his brother J. Alan Boyer, husband of Anna, of Oley; nephew, David A. Boyer, of France; niece Rebecca Miller, of NC ; family friends, Robert E. Erb, widower of Patricia, of Shillington; Jeffrey Erb, husband of Margaret, of MA; Robin Reinoehl, wife of Richard, of AZ; and Todd Erb, husband of Amy, of York. David was predeceased by his brother Carlton Boyer and sister Barbara Waldrup.
