David Bernet

David C. Bernet, 79, of Spring Township, passed away Friday, August 18, 2017 at 10:10 am in his home. He was the husband of Dolores E. (Bachman) Bernet. Born in Douglassville, Mr. Bernet was the son of the late John Samuel Bernet and Pearl Olivia (Kulp) Bernet. He was the owner of B&F Siding Contractors for many years until his retirement. In addition to his wife, Mr. Bernet is survived by his children David L. Bernet, husband of Sharon Bernet of Birdsboro; Debra L. Frederick, wife of David Frederick of Oley; April A. Bernet of Birdsboro; Peter C. Bachtlin, husband of Alta Bachtlin of Shillington and Janeen M. Ebert, wife of John Ebert of Sinking Spring and his grandchildren Neal; Danielle; David; Kyle; Elizabeth; Alanna; Leah and his 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Stephanie. Also surviving are his siblings Nancy C. Fowler, wife of William R. Fowler of California; John S. Bernet, husband of Regina Bernet of Michigan and Robert W. Bernet, husband of the late Agnes Bernet of Douglassville.
Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 11:00 am. Reverend Bruce G. Osterhout will officiate. Interment will follow in St. John's (Hain's) Church Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home Wednesday 10:00-11:00 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkison's Research, PO Box 5014, Hagerstown, Maryland 21741-5014 in memory of Mr. David C. Bernet.
