Daniel O. Emore

Daniel O. Emore, 84, of Laureldale, passed away Friday, May 3, 2024 at 12:55 am in his residence.  He was the husband of the late Sandra A. (Kauffman) Emore who passed away December 10, 2020.  Born in Reading, Mr. Emore was the son of the late LeRoy W. Emore and Thelma (Wetzel) Thornton.  He was a member of the former St. Mark’s United Church of Christ in Reading.  Mr. Emore was employed by Camp Hosiery as a machine operator and later by Boscov’s Department Store in the warehouse.  He also worked as a part time employee for Giant in Cumru Township in the bakery department.  Mr. Emore served in the United States Army during Vietnam and was a volunteer for the American Red Cross in Reading for 15 years and was an avid stamp and train collector.  He is survived by his daughter Beth A. Young wife of Joe B. Young with whom he last resided; his granddaughter Tiffany Bauman Kline; his niece Tricia A. Romberger wife of Kenneth Romberger of Strausstown; nephew Dean A. Kauffman husband of Shari Kauffman of Emmaus, great nieces and nephew Derek, Gabrielle, Alexis  and his dog Reggie and 8 friendly cats.  Mr. Emore was preceded in death by his daughter Sandra D. Richardson wife of Jess Richardson of Laureldale, March 7, 2023.  The family would like to thank the following people for the care they gave to Pop:  Jen Phillips, Kathy Nguyen, Darlene Boyer, Kathy Reeser, Tracy Ibrahim, Courtney Lee.  

Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township, Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 12:00 pm.    Charlotte Swoyer will officiate.  Interment will follow at Laureldale Cemetery with Military Honors rendered by the United States Army Honor Guard.  The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Friday, May 10, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508 in memory of Mr. Daniel O.
