Born in Reading, Mr. Moyer was the son of the late Luther and Esther (Weller) Moyer. In addition to his wife of 49 years, he is survived by his children Michael A. Moyer, husband of Ann E. Moyer of Reinholds; Stephanie L. Schmehl, wife of Bruce A. Schmehl of Sinking Spring and his grandchildren Dalton and Joella Moyer.
He was a 1968 graduate of Wilson High School and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He retired in 2015 from AWI, in Robesonia after 42 years of service.
Dale was a life member of Cushion Peak Rod & Gun Club; Pennwyn Motor Association and Lebanon Valley Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed spending time weekly with his friends at these clubs, laughing and telling stories.
Dale loved his two grandchildren very much and took a vested interest in their lives. He attended many sporting events for each of them over years. Starting in the early years of football, swimming, cheering and baseball to high school events in swimming, lacrosse and football. The grandkids loved spending time with nana and pap. Dale was always proud of their accomplishments. He also enjoyed taking trips to the beach and trips to the mountains on vacation with family and friends.
He loved watching all kinds of football, NASCAR but he especially enjoyed spending time in the outdoors hunting with friends and family. He loved the time he spent in Penn’s Woods with his son and grandson and going on hunting trips with Mike over the years.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the Reading Hospital who have treated and inspired him over the past several years. We would especially like to thank everyone at the infusion center for their care and kind words.
