Connie Lynn Steinrock

Connie Lynn Steinrock, (nee Bashore), daughter of the late Curtis and Esther Bashore, Bethel, PA, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024, while in the care of hospice services at Phoebe Berks, Wernersville, PA, at the age of 74.  Born on November 5, 1949, Connie graduated from Tulpehocken High School, class of 1967, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics from Manfield State College (PA), in 1971, and her Registered Dietitian (RD) Certification from Marywood College, (PA) in 1973.   Over the next   35 years Connie served as a Registered Dietitian and Food Services Manager at several hospitals and assisted living facilities, most recently for 20 years at the Wernersville State Hospital, Wernersville, PA, retiring in 2011.  She was the loving Mom to her three children, Peter, Sarah, and Aaron, and a proud grandma to Jacob, Sophia, and Scarlett Majoros.  In her quiet time, she loved being at the beach, reading, brisk walks, and tennis.   

She is survived by her sons, Peter, Flying Hills, Aaron and wife, Lindsey, Flying Hills, and daughter, Sarah and husband Mike Majoros, Millersville, MD, and grandchildren Jacob, Sophia, and Scarlett.  She is also survived by a brother Barry Bashore, (Joanne), sisters Carol Lane (Fran), Donna Reber (John), Karen (Bert Eskin), and Cheryl Gates (Barry), and several nieces and nephews. Her caring devotion to family has been an inspiration to her loved ones and that memory of “family first” will be a sustaining strength over the years to come. 

The family will receive relatives and guests in Bean Funeral Home, 129 E. Lancaster Ave. Shillington, on Saturday, January, 27, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by a memorial service at 10:30 AM. The family has requested in lieu of flowers that remembrance be made in the form of contributions to the AFTD – The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration.
