Clarence W. Schein, 102, formerly of Wernersville, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2020 in the Reading Hospital. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late William and Emma (Beam) Schein. Clarence was the husband of the late Anna M. (George) Schein, together they shared almost 75 years of marriage before her passing in 2014. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wernersville. Clarence worked as Supervisor of Maintenance at Met-Ed Titus Station for 36 years before retiring in 1978. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling all across the country, and building electronics like radios and amplifiers. Clarence was a member of the Masonic Chandler Lodge No. 227.
Clarence is survived by his children; DelRoy C. Schein, husband of Sharon, of Elizabethtown, Barbara (Schein) Peffel, wife of the late George Peffel, of Wyomissing Hills, Elaine (Schein) Heiser, wife of Richard Heiser, of Sinking Spring. His 7 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 5 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Clarence is preceded in death by 5 brothers.
Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Homes, 3825 Penn Avenue, Sinking Spring, on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 1:00p.m. The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, November 23, 2020 from 6:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. and Tuesday, November 24, 2020 from 12:30p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Gethsemane Cemetery.
