Christine Reich

Christine F. Reich, 89, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away on September 4, 2017 at ManorCare in Laureldale. She was the beloved wife of the late Jerald R. Reich who passed away on October 29, 2013. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of Joseph V. Homan and Rhea E. (Renninger) Homan. During her life she was a store manager and sales clerk at Zipf's Candies and Billy's Candies. Christine is survived by her sons, Timothy D. Reich, husband of Melney of Leesport; Jeffrey Reich, of Mohrsville; 2 granddaughters; and 3 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, M. Jeannette Unger of Muhlenberg Township and Pauline H. Bell, of Mohnton. Mrs. Reich was predeceased by her brother Robert J. Homan and sisters Lucille Ganter, Miriam I. Werner, and Barbara L. Homan.
The family would like to thank the staff at ManorCare in Laureldale for the years of excellent care given to our mother, and those who provided quality care through Heartland Hospice for the past few months.
