Charlotte D. Shade, 76 , of Laureldale, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011 in St. Joseph Medical Center. She was the wife of Milton E. Shade, Sr. to whom she was married to for 58 years. Born in Reading, July 23, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Florence (Hanson) Hendricks. She was employed by the former King's Department Store in Reading for 20 years in accounts payable and was a union stewardess. Mrs. Shade was a member of the Weakender's Camping Club and was an avid bingo player. In addition to her husband she is survived by her son Milton E. Shade, Jr. husband of Mary C. Shade of Rockland Township and her daughter Dawn H. (Shade) Pritchard of Laureldale. Also surviving are her grandchildren Eric M. husband of Lisa Shade of Muhlenberg Township, Timothy M. husband of Tara Shade of Exeter Township and Adrienne D. (Pritchard) wife of David Drexel of Centre Township as well as 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Albert Hendricks, Jr. of Laureldale and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Joan L. (Hendricks) Stoudt.
