Charlotte Delong

Charlotte M. Delong, 59, of Sinking Spring, passed away September 20, 2009 at 11:55 pm in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Zelus and Katharine(Hoester)Delong. Ms. Delong was a 1968 graduate of Sinking Spring High School, a 1972 graduate of Kutztown University with a BA in English and a 1974 graduate of McCann School of Business. She was employed by Heartland Home Healthcare and Hospice in Wyomissing as an office manager last working August 24, 2009. She was a member of St. John's Reformed Church in Sinking Spring where she was a member of the Consistory and past president. She was also a member of the church choir and secretary of the choir to ten years along with being a Sunday School Teacher. She was also a member of the Altursa Club of Reading. She will be missed by her cats. Ms. Delong is survived by her sister, Barbara O'Leary of Lebanon and her niece Sara O'Leary also of Lebanon. Also surviving are her aunts, Vallie Reich of Reading and Anna Wert of Wyomissing along with her uncle Elwood Delong of Sinking Spring. She is also survived by her closest friends, Eileen; Betty; Deb; Sandy; Rod and Dina; Vickie and George and many other friends who loved and supported her.
