Charles Frank Maurer

Charles Frank Maurer, 87, of Exeter Township, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at the Reading Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Marcia A. Maurer (Seyler), who passed away on October 21, 2021. Together they share 60 years of marriage.

Born on March 25, 1936, he was the son of the late Frances Smeltz.

Charles graduated from Millersville State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. He was an Industrial Arts Teacher for Oley Valley High School for many years until retirement. Charles enjoyed birdwatching, woodworking, playing and coaching basketball.

He is survived by his children, Kurt C. Maurer, of Exeter Township; Kristin L. Poole, wife of Gerald Poole, of Exeter Township; grandson, Bret Eyrich; and great granddaughter, Ivy Rose Eyrich.

Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, PA 19608 on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery.
