Charles Albert Sr

Charles J. Albert Sr., 95, of Kenhorst, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the Southeastern Veterans Center surrounded by his beloved family. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Mathias) Albert who passed away on November 19, 1997. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Salvatore Albert and Maria (Torcivia) Albert. During his life he was employed as a project manager for Hayes Construction Inc. in Wyomissing for 20 years retiring in 1985.Charles also was a building inspector for the borough of Kenhorst for many years. He also served proudly in the United States Army during World War II and enjoyed wood working. Charles is survived by his daughters, Mary Ann Albert, of Kenhorst; Anna Maria, wife of Johnathan Smith Sr., of Kenhorst; sons, Charles J. Albert Jr., husband of Donna Albert of Lancaster; Richard Albert, of Florida; and granddaughter Dorothy Puls, wife of Eric J. Puls, of Shillington. He is also survived by 7 additional grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Charles was a loving father and grandfather and he will be sincerely missed by all his family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 10:00am at the Chapel of Resurrection, 3139 Kutztown Road, Reading, 19605. The family will receive relatives and friends Friday, December 22, 2017 at Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, 19608 from 6:00pm-8:00pm.
