Catherine Schumacher

Catherine H. Schumacher, 86, of Ephrata, formerly of East Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, passed away March 10, 2011 at 10:50 am in Ephrata Manor. She was the wife of the late Rev. Verle Clifton Schumacher who passed away April 8, 2008. Born in Emmitsburg, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late John D. and Helen (Motter) Keilholtz. Mrs. Schumacher supported her husbands ministries which began in the Lutheran Church and continued in the United Church of Christ serving various parishes in Central Pennsylvania. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Shillington. She is survived by her sons, Daryl E. husband of Mary Ann Schumacher of Stevens, PA and Delwyn K. husband of Tamra L. Schumacher of Manheim, PA along with her grandchildren Trista Everhart, Terra Wierzchowski, Travis, Nathan, Lauren Schumacher. She is also survived by her brothers Clyde J. Keilholtz of Littlestown, PA and Harold E. Keilholtz of Taneytown, Maryland. She was preceded in death by her son, David husband of Darla J. Schumacher of Newmanstown. Also surviving are 2 nephews, Keith and Kevin.
