Catherine Diehl

Catherine S. Diehl, 92, formerly of Lincoln Park, passed away July 19, 2010 at 12:40 am in Mifflin Center where she was a resident for 4 years. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband Dr. Edward W. Hyson of Fawn Grove, PA in 1962 and her 2nd husband Floyd H. Diehl in 1988. Born in Dallastown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Thomas A. and Martha B.(Mellinger)Lawson. Mrs. Diehl was a 1935 graduate of Dallastown High School and attended Lebanon Valley College. For a brief time she was a secretary for Dr. H.P. Sidwell in Bel Air, Maryland. She was a member of Lincoln Park Community United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter Marlene B.(Hyson)Manifold of New Park, PA, Step-daughter Sherry, wife of Ron Iwasaki of Simi Valley, CA, step-son John, husband of Denny Diehl of CA along with grandchildren, Andrew C. Manifold of New Park, PA and Thomas Hyson Morris of Shrewsberry, PA. She is also survived by her brother Lemuel R. Lawson of Elizabethtown. Mrs. Diehl was preceded in death by her son, Robert R. Hyson.
