Catherine Allen

Catherine M. Allen, 91, of Reading, passed away June 25, 2011 at 2:15 PM in St. Joseph Medical Center where she was a patient since June 24th. She was the wife of Josh R. Allen who passed away in 1970. Born in Shoemakersville on February 26, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Minerva S. (Blatt) Miller.

She was employed as a machine operator by Fein & Glass in Reading for 25 years and later was the owner and operator of the East Reading Cafe for 23 years.

She is survived by Glenn E. Wolf with whom she resided, 2 step daughters Kathleen wife of George Walters of Reading and Cheryl A. (Wolf) wife of Franklin Kohl of Reading, 2 step sons Steven M. Wolf and Jeffrey M. Wolf both of Reading, 6 step grandchildren Samantha J. Wolf, Pricilla A. Collazo, Nicholas M. Wolf, Jeremy D. Wolf, Frankie O. Kohl and Julian S. Collazo, a brother Robert T. Miller of Whitfield and a sister Laura (Miller) Rissmiller of Mt. Penn. She was predeceased by a brother Howard W. Miller.
