Catharine Williams

Catharine T. Williams, 91, of Kenhorst and formerly of Wyomissing, passed away January 9, 2010 at 1:15 PM in Reading Hospital & Medical Center where she was a patient for 2 weeks. Born in Reading on March 12, 1918, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Josephine E. (Hartman) Trout.

Catharine was a 1936 graduate of Reading High School and was employed in the Integrated Circuit Dept. at A.T. & T. for 22 years retiring in 1980. She was a member of Rosedale United Church of Christ. She was a very active member of Telecom Pioneers and volunteered at Bingo at ManorCare in Laureldale. Ms. Williams was instrumental in making huggy bears and heart pillows for Reading Hospital Auxiliary.

Surviving are a daughter Patricia A. (Williams) wife of Brent E. Hoffman with whom she last resided, 3 grandchildren Brian husband of Holly Hoffman of Mohrsville, Lori (Hoffman) Gardecki of Sinking Spring and Heather Hoffman of Shillington, 4 great grandchildren Kaitlyn Gardecki, Brian Brent Hoffman II, Sienna Alexis Montalvo and Bradley Hoffman. She was predeceased by 2 brothers Frederick Trout and Leroy Trout and a sister Betty Waskiewicz.
