Casimir S. (Casey) Zielinski, 86, of Mt. Penn, passed away January 9, 2010 at 1:54 am in St. Joseph Medical Center. He is survived by his Loving Wife, Gloria M. (Stephens) Zielinski. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Walter and Stella (Kozlowski) Zielinski. Mr. Zielinski was a 1940 graduate of Reading High School. He served in the United States Navy during WWII and the invasion of Normandy on the battleship Destroyer. He was employed as a knitter for Berkshire Knitting Mills, then was Director of Mail Processing for the United States Postal Service, based in Reading for 37 years, retiring in 1980, then was an accountant for The Henson Company in Sinking Spring and last was employed by General Battery as Director of the Mail Room. He was a member of St. Catharine of Siena Church in Exeter Township and was an avid sports fan and golfer. He was a Loving Father to Michael C. husband of Janice L. Zielinski of Colony Park, Thomas C. Zielinski of Bryn Mawr, Matthew C. husband of Kristie L. Zielinski of Colony Park, Daniel C. Zielinski of Mt. Penn and David C. husband of Georgene A. Zielinski of Spring Township along with his daughters, Ann Marie wife of David C. Pettis of Sinking Spring and Kathleen A. wife of Wesley R. Kelso of Lancaster. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughter. Also surviving are his sisters, Irene wife of George Barber of Reading, Florence, widow of James Swanger of Mohnton and Sister Maria Rose, CSF of Reading. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Stephanie Liszcz, Josephine Angelisanti and brothers Zigmund and Theodore Zielinski.
